The Villa

     
This is a newly built, unique villa with a swimming pool, standing in its own orange grove, in a wonderful location, amongst neighbouring fruit farms and vineyards. A perfect holiday setting for the great escape far from the maddening crowds without compromising luxury, in a peaceful yet accessible location. Excellent for both active and relaxing breaks, being near to golf courses and beaches. Faro airport is 35 minutes to the East and approximately 35 minutes to the West is Spain.

The villa sleeps a maximum of 7 people, consisting of 2 double and one twin room. The ground floor bedrooms share a shower room and toilet. One bedroom has a double bed with a door opening onto the terrace; the other is a twin with two single beds.
On the first floor the master bedroom suite has an adjoining well-being en-suite, with a built in heated couch for relaxation and private balcony with countryside views. Also on the first floor is an amenity room/study, with a sofa bed for that additional uninvited guest.

Fabulous for open plan living, with a fully equipped kitchen, dinning and a spacious comfortable lounge with folding glass doors that open onto the sun-terrace giving plenty of natural sunlight and that indoor outdoor feel. The villa has cable television/DVD with several English speaking channels, both upstairs and down.

In addition there is the rooftop terrace, ideal for private sunbathing, which has far reaching views of the distant hills, mountains, sea and surrounding farmland. It also has a built in BBQ.


The villa has washer-dryer and ironing facilities and dishwasher. Under-floor heating for winter lets as well as an open fireplace. All bed linen and bathroom towels are supplied. Maid service is normally weekly but extra service can be arranged when booking, if required.

The private salt-water pool and sun terraces are complete with sun beds & parasols; there is an outdoor toilet & shower, and additional BBQ area, all set within beautiful orange and clementine trees and lawns. The landscaped grounds are fenced and gated.


This little piece of paradise is conveniently situated between the villages of St. Estaveo and Luz de Tavira. A small grocery shop is within walking distance of the villa, with further supplies and supermarkets in Luz de Tavira, and St. Esteavao. A welcome pack is provided and car hire is essential. This is a non-smoking house. All the bedrooms have ceiling fans with wall controls and every room has its own thermostatic heating control. This house has been built to very modern standards using first class insulation to keep it warmer in winter and cooler in summer. It has a modern contemporary feel, yet still in-keeping with the beauty of the local surroundings.



An emphasis has been made on using natural products wherever possible with handcrafted windows, doors and finishes by local tradesmen. The rustic feel is evident the moment you enter the driveway and walk around the beautiful cobble-stoned pathways. The gardens are well tended, with palm trees, shrubs, and bougainvillea and pomegranate hedges. Every orange tree is different from the other, so fruit ripens at different stages throughout the year.



There is nothing better than waking in the morning to freshly squeezed organic orange or pomegranate juice. In the orchard there are also a few lemon, fig, apricot and nut trees and of course a sweet grapevine. It is an entirely un-commercialised, rural area, full of natural beauty, yet only a short drive to the old Algarvian town of Tavira, with its wealth of amenities. The fishing village of Santa Lucia is nearby and not to be missed, renown for first class restaurants and picturesque waterfront setting. Famous for its octopus.

Casa Pomar das Laranjeiras is a fantastic retreat for golfing breaks, with excellent courses in this region, the nearest just 10 minutes drive, with many more to book throughout the Algarve and through to Spain. Serious golfers can usually get discounted rates by booking online before travelling. The links below will enable you to investigate many of the terrific courses in the Eastern Algarve and the more famous courses at Villamoura and Vale de Lobo are approximately 40 minutes away on the motorway.


This villa is also a perfect location for visiting unspoilt long, sandy beaches. The nearest is Barril, situated in a nature reserve, the Ria Formosa, only 7 minutes drive to Pedras d’el Rei where you either take the pathway through the nature reserve or board a miniature train.

Tavira island beach is reached by a short ferryboat trip, a wonderful experience, where there are plenty of beach bars, restaurants and golden sands.


There are many more beautiful beaches to visit along the coast from Fuseta all the way to Monte Gordo. You can park and walk to the sands at Altura and the beautiful Praia Verde beach and walk for miles upon miles. Praia Verde is well known for its excellent restaurant on the beach.Tavira is often described as the ‘Algarvean Rome’ or as the ‘Venice of the Algarve’. It stands on two hills either side of the river Galao linked by a seven- arched Roman bridge. The town is also known as the ‘Town of Churches’ since a remarkable 39 churches and other places of worship lie within its boundaries.


Tavira is a lovely old unspoilt market town with very careful development, reinstating many 18th century buildings to their original state. Many artists flock to this beautiful town for its historical past and fantastic architecture.

The daily market is abundant with local fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables as well as nuts, honey and homemade sweets and cakes.
